Each year on the Friday night prior to the actual car show, a Poker Fun Run is held in Warner Robins. The Poker Run is carried out for the Museum of Aviation by the members of Corvettes Ltd. of Central Georgia. Anyone can enter the run -- in any type of vehicle -- whether they are registered in the car show or not. The run is very popular with motorcyclists.
Entrants register at the Museum of Aviation (Hangar One) between 6:00 and 6:45 They receive a player's sheet directing them to approximately six merchants in Warner Robins to draw a card and receive a promotional gift. The last stop is the parking lot between Hooter's and Steak and Shake where they can buy one additional card for $1.00. The poker hands are then recorded and the best three hands win cash prizes of $75, $50 and $25. Oldies D.J. Tommy Landrum provides the background music for the parking lot party and additional door prizes are given out.
